I can relate. That happened to me years ago at Christmas. I called my mom a couple days before Christmas and she was going to call me on Christmas. She never called and I didn’t hear from her for several days after Christmas so I finally called her to let her know how hurt I was.

I was also sick on Easter and did not go to the house I was invited to. I did t want to get others, especially the elderly, sick. My mom passed years ago so I can’t see her or talk to her now. I wish I could.

I’m glad your mom called you. It is good for you both to be open with each other about your feelings and needs.
