@msvette i checked the Adverse Effects for Alendronate in a pharmacy site and the symptoms you describe are not associated with this medication. I’m 73 and take it once every 7 days but no daily. Mostly GI associated ailments and muscle pain are two of the most common complaints. Sorry you feel like you’re a frail old lady at 70. You now live in the land of sunshine so why not enjoy it with proper sun protection. Didn’t you move there from Mass because of the weather?

Msvette's tee hee was too suspiciously gleeful to convince us that she is feeling frail or old.
Even the most diligently collected signals from clinicals don't include many of the symptoms that we experience here in the real world experience.
How long have you been on? what dose? alendronate
Are you one of the lucky ones with no side effects.

msvette, I've asked for help with your listing.

gently, my concern about the negative effects of Alendronate was largely due to my already fragile condition @ the hands of an abusive alcoholic husband. I've had broken bones & teeth, was isolated, and denied medical attention, so people wouldn't see the damage. I just wanted to be cautious of prescription drugs because I want to live. I changed my name. I can't go home. He's "connected". Thank you for your time and effort to help me with your valuable medical knowledge. Hugs
