I have been hospitalized twice, once for two nights and the other for eight, So I could be stabilized with IV steroids. It is a real pain, but once I got out of the hospital, I felt marginally better, but more importantly, my downward slide stopped. It then took a few months of trying different medication’s before we found what worked and I started getting better. There is no magic bullet for this thing, but at least in my case, the hospitalizations ended a crisis
