@klue It's great that your oncologist provided this helpful information to you. I've had brachytherapy. It was awkward because I had to lie very still on a table with my legs up in stirrups during the treatment. The medical staff were very compassionate and did so much to help me very comfortable. I had no reactions or after effects from the brachytherapy. I did and still do use a moisturizer and vaginal dilator because brachytherapy to the vagina results in scar tissue. Your oncologist and/or the oncology nurse will likely talk with you about this. Do you know when your brachytherapy is scheduled?

i already had my simulation and they are calling me this week to let me know which 5 days i'll be having the treatment on.

i felt very uncomfortable at the simulation. i'm used to having to lay down with legs in stirrups but i am not used to a man being in the room.

i'm 61yo and have never been exposed like that in front of a man aside from my husband.

i even spoke to the doctor of radiology about it and she said that the man actually works the equipment to deliver the treatment.

i had a long talk with my husband about it because i didn't want to do the treatment because of it but my husband is just so worried i could die that he begged me to go thru with it.
