I have several things wrong with my back and MRI suggests that I need some screws and rods to get pressure off of nerves and spinal cord. Should I go to an orthopedic surgeon or to a neurosurgeon??
Thank you! sas
I am 75 years old and have tried all the other options.

I had MILD surgery. It went well, and I recovered well,
but unfortunately it was not able to resolve my back issues
or eliminate pain as I am needing rods and screws.

If you can find and get an appointment with a neurosurgeon who only does spines, that would be my first choice. My neurosurgeon diagnosed what multiple orthopedists had not. I am 90 percent better.
