I quit Tymlos after 6 months. I only got up to 4 clicks. I found the side effects intolerable. Bone density-- and it's supposed to be the greatest in the first 6 months-- was a wash: one hip went up marginally, and one hip went down. Spine improved slightly. My side effects were a racing heart after each injection. Many (most?) people report this, but I couldn't bear feeling like I was having a heart attack everyday-- and it lasted for hours. (And yes, I tried the morning vs evening thing.) Elevating my legs helped, but then I would have to lie down for a long time after the shot and I work full time! Or, try going to bed with a racing heart. No win situation. My ankles started aching (I've never had joint pain), and then came the kicker: my hair started falling out--not in patches, but thinning. I lost a lot. That was it. I was done. It's been 18 months since I stopped the injections, and my hair hasn't grown back. I went back on Actonel, which didn't do much to begin with, and my endo then prescribed Evenity, but I'm too traumatized/terrified to start with another injectable drug that some people report no issues with but others rue the day they let into their body. (I'm sure you've seen the horror house of stories.) Let me know if you have any other questions.
