slow to move
After sitting or laying down it takes me four or five steps holding onto to something before I can walk. It seems as though I have to warm up?
Anyone else has this?
Thanks
Margaret

Hi,
Yes I have had that. I seem to be getting better now and it is no longer noticable. It happened in my worst moments, I remember thinking the very same thing, having to worm up for the day ahead. With multiple health issues I don't know which it is or isn't related to.
Cheers
I happened across this several days ago. I don't know if it is useful.

@thurlibier
I have this when I first wake up or when trying to stand up from a seated position. It is like I need to wake up my muscles to get circulation going and it takes some time for my nerves to connect with my brain to move my body.
I find I have to at least stand about 5 seconds before taking my first step, but then I can move ok. It takes that long for me to feel balanced.
Yes, I have this problem too. From talking to other healthy seniors I know this is a very common complaint so it is probably not directly related to neuropathy. However having neuropathy in the feet and legs probably makes it worse. I have read that we should all not sit more than 30 minutes at a time. Get up and walk around for a couple of minutes. Go get a drink of water, go look out the window a bit, before sitting down again. Keep Moving!
I am really happy to know that at least some of us can still walk. Unfortunately, I am to the point of not even being able to walk on the bottom of my feet as they hurt quite a bit and it's not just numbness and tingling. I was diagnosed recently with large fiber peripheral neuropathy along with cervical and lumbar radiculopathy after almost a year from initial onset. The condition is progressing fast. I am hoping to get on some type of treatment to help alleviate even some of the pain when I see my neurologist beginning of May. I guess we shall see.
