I also have osteoarthritis (for years) and was recently diagnosed with PMR. To me it was a totally different kind of pain. Probably the worst pain before treatment was in my wrists. I'd never had arthritic pain in my wrists
The low dose of prednisone took care of all my pain except the wrists. I'm only taking 10 mg of prednisone as I have A-Fib, but I just started Kevlara (sp). 2 doses so far.
