yes to both, now. But not when I was originally diagnosed, I was on commercial insurance, and they rejected the scrip from my PCP. I don't know if Medicare would cover the anabolic drug now. Now I know I don't need the anabolic med, because I eventually found out the DEXA scan was inaccurate, I never pursued . the question with Medicare.
