Are you sure you weren’t just still positive with first case? I was positive 21 days.
I had rebound after Paxlovid, but I’m a nerdy retired nurse and wasn’t surprised. People can also have a worsening of Covid symptoms if they don’t get Paxlovid-the bad respiratory symptoms used to appear later.

I tested positive for 21 days and had low grade fevers longer, but symptoms weren’t severe and I had no respiratory difficulty. I reminded myself of that often because I was sick of it by 3 wks.

I’d take Paxlovid again in a heartbeat. I lived in Philadelphia near Penn Medicine at start of pandemic. Philly was hit early and hard, before vaccines and treatments were figured out. The hospital was inundated and deaths were frequent.

I tested negative for at least a day between

@pacathy
I tested negative 2 days in a row, then tested positive next day. It was a difficult decision for me knowing my history of probabilities. I do realize Paxlovid probably saved many lives. Maybe yours. Glad it worked for you. But that and Covid have ruined mine at this point. Can only hope it gets tired of its host and leaves. Lucky I'm not bedridden, like many, but no fun to live this way. I do feel better as the day goes on. Anyone else? Thanks for the info and helpful input.

Tested negative 1 week after my release. I know there's a test to see if you have any spike proteins left in your system that's more sensitive than the more generic home kits. It was through my wife leukemia foundation that had a blood test.
