Hearing your testimony...sounds sort of like hearing someone reading a chapter or two from my life's story...I've never been sober 73 days in my 58 yrs after the age of 13..yes ..my uncle gave me a line of crank...(meth)..it's been a life's long struggle of addiction from then. .every drug known to man..alcohol..so many other addictions I'm so ashamed of...but I figure I'm still here for s reason...sending prayers 🙏 my friend 🧡...stay strong 💪..

Today is another 24 hours. We do not have to pick up today. Play the tape forward. If I pick up, I know where that will lead. It has always led to the same place. It is never better, it is ALWAYS worse. When I ever think picking up is a choice, I play that tape and remember how awful it was and how terrible I felt every single day unless I used or drank. It is a horrible merry-go-round. Today I choose to stay off that cycle. All we have is today and that makes it a bit easier.

One more thing...I am grateful to be alive today. I shouldn't be by all rights, and as I am sure many of us have, lost many friends to this disease.
