Osteopenia and ce4vical steroid epidural

Posted by denway91 @denway91, Apr 1 12:28pm

Have any of you had steroid infections in cervical sp8ne with osteopenia. I'm not on any meds for osteopenia, just diet increase of calcium. Dexa came back after 2 years of diet and exercise with slight improvement or the same. Neck is at -2.2. I have bone spurs that are causing some issues in neck and 1 injection 3 months ago helped but now the pain is creeping back. I'm not sure if I should do more injections and my internist says it up to me!!! Any insight will be appreciated!

I face does get numb on the left side. Not consistently.(behind my eye and down my cheek to my lips and chin. I feel as though I have a palsy or a tia but it does go away.

Same for me! But mine varies to right and left. My neurosurgeon feels it's tightening of muscles from c5-6. Pain management says to work at strength training of neck muscles. Always forward!!
