How long it takes to get PSMA/CT results back ?

Results are finally in ... They were "in" but we could not read them before our "famous" urologist did not find time to "sign them" off.

There is focal intense uptake SUV 6.2 in right posterior lateral peripheral zone.

There is one left iliac lymph node that has SUV around 2 and and per radiologist assessment is probably just reactive but should be watched.

So - we choose to be happy with results and optimistic and to concentrate on the facts that cancer is in one lobe of prostate , with medium SUV uptake, and that there is only one lymph node that is *iffy and probably "nothing".

Next step - UCSF consult with RARP surgeon next week ...

PS: Forgot to say that genetic tests for hereditary mutations came back yesterday too - my husband has none.

I HAD THE SCAN ABOUT ONE MONTH AGO. I DID RECEIVE THE RESULTS IN A THREE PAGE FINDING. I HAD TO SEARCH WAS "UPTAKE" MEANT. THE DEFINITION IN PET SCAN CASE IS THE ZONE'S INTENSITY TO ABSORB THE RADIATION CHEMICAL.

IN MY CASE, THE REPORT NOTE SLIGHT UPTAKE. THE PET SCAN WAS CONDUCTED AT THE VA FACILITY IN GAINESVILLE, FL. ALTHOUGH I COULD USE MAYO, THE TREATMENT AND SUPPORT HAVE BEEN VERY GOOD.
