I had COVID in 2020 and while taste has been restored (mostly) I still am unable to smell anything, I was making garlic toast with the oven on broil. I got distracted and when I returned there were flames coming out of the oven and the kitchen was filled with smoke! I could not smell the burnt bread! I have no smoke alarms but DEFINITELY will get some now. Any home remedies you know of to help me regain the sense of smell?

That was a close call. I hope the smoke detectors help.

I posted upthread about how I did scent training after my smell/taste disorder was diagnosed,..due to post covid syndrome. I can’t say for certain that it helped, but my smell returned. It’s worth a try. My PC is who recommended it to me, not my ENT.
