Has anyone tried Native Path Bone Health product?
I was just diagnosed with osteoporosis and don't want to take the fosamax or envenity recommended. Considering Native Path Bone Health collogen. Does anyone use this?

I posted recently on Dr Lucas and Osteocal - about my search
for 'best' collagen for osteoporosis. I am picky - don't want added
ingredients like vitamins, for example.
Have not decided on which brand ...doing lots of research....
seeing a dietitian in 2 weeks,
might as well see what she has to say, but I have so many questions for her,
we may run out of time at our first session.
I have a question on that other post (Dr Lucas and Osteocal)
that someone here might be able to answer -
that is -- how do you know how much of type 1 and type 3
is in your scoop ...do you need to shake container to
balance out...
I have been taking Native Path type 1 and 3 for a couple of years. I did try the fortibone and verisol and began getting some joint pains so stopped that! I have no real proof that 1/3 is helping except that my nails are stronger! I see no reason to discontinue. It’s a good product.
Good to know you thanks!
Hi! I've been taking Native Path Bone Health for about a year. I won't have my next dexa scan for another year, so don't know if it will help. Frankly, I'm skeptical, but willing to try until my next dexa. I took regular Vital Proteins for about 6 months before changing to NP Bone Health, and liked the results with my fingernails. Seems like they aren't doing as well with the Native Path Bone Health.
Time will tell.
I posted on another thread that I tried the natural approach for a year after being told I needed to take osteoporosis meds, preferably Evenity. I said no to the drugs and began the year with Native Path bone collagen and the regular collagen also. I walked a minimum of thirty minutes a day and did 10 minutes of weights daily. I also cut back on sugar, salt, and caffeine. At the end of the year I had a scan which showed improvement. My biggest problem area is my spine and it went from -3.4 to -2.9. My PCP said “just keep doing what you are doing.” I am 78 and will continue with the natural approach.
Wow! That's really encouraging! I've been hesitant to take additional collagen peptides with the bone health, as I wasn't sure if that might be 'too much'. I also have rheumatoid arthritis, and am on medications for that, so I always have to be careful I'm not taking something that interacts with them. Doctor's aren't a lot of help advising about this, as they don't have that much info about collagen peptides. Hope your progress continues, and hope what I'm doing will yield some results, too!
Thank you , this is encouraging. I am 70, just diagnosed with osteoporosis- barely in the zone in spine -2.6, still osteopenia zone in hip and femur. Both my GP and endocrinologist I was referred to want me to go on meds (GP- Fosamax, endo Recast infusion). I am very hesitant. I am a runner and have a fairly healthy diet - would like to add weight training and further improve my diet, see what the dexa scan says in 2 years. Also considering a supplement - my neighbor recommends "Metagenics." Not sure how that compares with Nature's Path. Will do some research. I know everything is a tradeoff at this point, but I am very leery of the meds - some people have a good experience but for those who don't - wow! And no way of knowing which category I'll fall into (bad pun sorry).
