Leg pain and lumps
My 40 year old son has for the past year complained of chronic leg pain, has some small lumps which only appear when standing. The pain is worse when walking, and also at night. Has had MRI, only diagnosis limpomas. Having a hard time getting any diagnosis due to his insurance not approving tests. Has been off work for almost a year now, they will not let him come back until he gets a diagnosis. Is a vet, has had the anthrax vaccine, not sure if important. Had shin splints really bad while in the army. Has seen an orthopedist, no luck. Has had nerve conductivity test...good, Dr requesting blood work and an MRI of his back, which Cigna has denied. My daughter just had menengiom surgery at the Mayo, awesome care. Any help would be appreciated.

Lipomas can be painful as I can attest. Research a rare disease called Dercums disease or adipose delorsa. Usually diagnosed by a dermatologist
I’ve seen a ton of mds and. No one knows about it. I was Lu my and found an old dermatologist who had seen 2 cases over his 60 yr career. He knew right away.
I can tell you there are various stages and mine too or more notable on standing. I’d be interested to hear his outcome
They don’t move around like typical lipomas but are fixed or adheres to connective tissue. Called encapsulation
