I am on Keytruda Immunotherapy for Melanoma stage 3 and joint pains are increasing - after a couple of months, they got so bad - especially in upper arms and hands and wrists - I was finally prescribed Fentanyl Patches - first 12.5 mg then 25mg every 3 days which are helping a lot and sometimes I will take Arcoxia 60mg if pain gets really bad especially at night. And although the patches are not addictive at this low dose, you can’t do this for too long as Arcoxia can affect your kidneys after long periods of use and and they are addressing the pain, but soon I will have to make to wheigh up the benefits whether to complete the 1 year course of Keytruda by managing the side effects (which I would really prefer) or stop the prescribed Keytruda course before the I year treatment in order to prevent damage being caused from the pain medications. Any thought's ?
If anyone knows the chemical makeup of Cipro, they know it is used in oncology all the time because while it destroys bacterial DNA & has an affinity for it, it is a chemo drug by definition bc it also destroys mitochondrial dna). Its referred to as a chemo drug now in most circles, so I can definitely say yes, post chemo drug from CNS upregulation, 10 years later, I am still in horrible spinal pain. I did call the ENT 4 times w BB warning symptoms but he would not change the drug (try to sue for malpractice and see what happens, nothing good). PO meds no longer help (tolerance) so I'm also currently looking for a MD or NP who installs Spinal Cord Stimulators on a regular basis who also really seems to care about their patients. It's getting difficult to find it seems, so referrals are welcome.
