I wear barefoot shoes almost exclusively now BUT I have worn Keen Newports for years ... they are awesome for hiking.... when I travel, it is in Keens - and I just bring socks for colder weather.

I have tried stiff "supportive shoes such as NB 990s, Brooks Ariel/Beast and Brooks Addiction, but find that my foot is happier in a more flexible shoe, such as Nike Freerunner. Do you have a particular brand of barefoot shoes that you like? I will check into Keen Newports - thanks for the tip.

Barefoot shoes are all that I wear also. I have spent a lot of money trying to find the right shoes and finally found that barefoot shoes work best for me. I don't even look at other shoes now.

Great to see this. Do they have arch support? I have very high arches that require support or I get pain. Also, I have low fat pads. So, feeling the earth though tempting would work against me.
