Hoka Clifton 9. I have 3 pairs. Feel more secure and balanced. I had the imbalance first, then the numbness set in. I was wearing Sketchers and Altras, for their wider toe bed and softness on my slightly achy feet. But, when balance became more pronounced, I switched to Hoka. I read Clifton 9 or Bondi 9. Tried them on at a store. I have had PT the last 4 weeks and it has helped so much with balance and using a cane properly.

Good morning, rollo8 (@rollo8)

I was struck by the coincidence: I just purchased my first pair of Hoka, and they happen to be Hoka Clifton 9. They arrived only two days ago. I wore them for 1/2-hour on Day 1 and wll wear them again today for 3/4-hour. I'm determinedto break them in 'properly,' having, in years past, purchased top-dollar running shoes and gone out running immediately, only to end up with aching, irritated feet. Did you find that it was necessary to break in your Clifton 9's? I know many people whopraise Hokas say you can put them on and go out of Day 1 and do as you please with no difficulties. I've been afraid to do that. My PN, by the way, is idiopathic large-fiber, so no pain but lots of balance problems.

Cheers!
