Has anyone reversed osteoporosis or osteopenia through exercise and diet and vitamins alone without osteoporosis meds?

There is lots to read on this topic under Osteoporosis.

Hello @chrissygirl60,

I combined your discussion on exercising with osteoporosis with an existing discussion in the Osteoporosis support group titled:

"Exercise to strengthen bones (for osteoporosis)"

@marcd, @tsc, and @ellymary are a few members in this discussion who shared their experiences with exercising and osteoporosis. @ellymary brought up a good point about always checking with your provider to make sure exercise is safe once you are diagnosed with osteoporosis.

Research shows that osteoporosis is not irreversible, but medication, diet changes and proper exercise can halt or slow its progression. The important thing is working with your provider to find the right regimen to help and not cause more harm once you have been diagnosed.

Here are a few similar discussions you may find helpful as well:

@chrissygirl60, have you had the chance to talk with the provider who diagnosed you about an exercise routine or dietary changes to help?
