Vick’s Vapor Rub for Neuropathy Pain
Has anyone tried rubbing Vick’s Vapor Rub on their legs or arms for neuropathic pain? I wonder if it would feel cool on the skin with the burning pain. It would certainly help soften the feet.

I have used different OTC Pain Rubs with menthol in them and some other things things. I do this after my shower in the morning. Occasionally I do it again later evening. I try to check percentage of menthol to at least 10%. It's does help me in the early mornings and through out the day. But I also take pregabalin daily.
I agree it seems like the nerves in my feet start giving me trouble when I get in bed. I noticed putting my knees together makes it worse too. I have tried capsaicin lately, on top and bottom of my feet before going to bed. I used to lay on my side all the time but now I have changed to propping my head up more and laying on my back. It has calmed my feet more. Before that I used Vicks vapor rub, it worked fairly well but the capsaicin is better. I have gotten this information from the link John gave me to look at. I get a new one every day. I hope this info. helps a little.

Strange as my experience is just the opposite. PN bothers my feet and left leg all day but at night I fall asleep in 5 minutes and it never bothers me.
Good evening! Thank you for the information! How do you use capsaicin: every day? How many times a day? What is 0,025% or 0,075%?
Thanks.

I tried it last night and it calmed the pins and needles pain. Amazingly, this a.m. I could walk without pain. The numbness was somewhat alleviated as well. 💙💜💙Incredible.
Probably the barometric pressure drop common at night.
Just like me!...thankfully. Thanks for writing this entry.
I find that the barometric pressure has a HUGE impact on my pain level...esp as storms move in!!
I bought these socks from Amazon. There's ice packs in the bottom of the ball of your foot in the heel of your foot and then there's one on the top of your foot and it feels so good for neuropathy. I put those on and I fall asleep right away there's no bothersome neuropathy with those on.
