Everolimus for NETs: How long does til the body to get used to it?

Am taking Everolimus for NET which has recently entered pancreas.,any advice as to how long body gets used to it?

My husband took it for 3 years. It kept his tumors stable. Main side effects were increase in blood sugar and fatigue.
Is there something specific you'd like to know?
