How cancer spreads to other locations

This article discusses the techniques used by cancer to live in other parts of the body. Very often when cancer moves, the nutrients it was living on no longer exist, yet they still spread.

Interesting statement made about vitamin E being linked to increased prostate cancer rates in healthy men.

Please stop finding these articles, jeff!!🤯🤯🤯. It seems that cancer cells are the closest thing to life “everlasting”
and not true love.
So as we have so often repeated, DON’T take ANTIOXIDANTS for cancer!! Your radiation/ADT puts the cancer cells close to death via oxidative stress, but if you give them “anti” oxidants you help them survive.
They also point out that cancer cells can adapt, shift or completely change their metabolisms. So depriving them of glucose, glutamine, fat, carbs or whatever nonsensical thing some book author can come up with, cancer cells are gonna grow…
Finally, maybe people will listen?? Probably not… Thanks for the read,
Phil

@jeffmarc

While it would be great to take less vitamin E and feel confident that it is helping, I would prefer to see more formalized randomized studies before making a definitive decision on supplements having an impact on cancer cells. I would hate to take something and have a biological re-occurrence wondering whether I caused it with increased supplements, without more substantial studies to at least give me a higher confidence level regarding the outcome.

According to the article, unrelated to radiation and ADT, antoxidants may foster metastases survival.

I have a paid version of AI - Gemini Advanced. With stuff like this i ask "Summarize the article" then "Tell me more about oxidative stress mentioned in the article."

It comes back with a much easier version to read. And, it basically says exactly what @heavyphil said.

Free version works too of course.

Funny my Doctor told to take Vitamin E to control Hot Flashes.
(Any way it didn't help - now I just deal with them)
