I’ve done a lot of searching….so, I’m intent on getting a Sport Sandal. I’m seriously considering the Keen Newport Retro model. It’s rather pricy and I wonder if it will meet my needs. It’s not available to try on in most stores in my area. I’ve checked.

I need good arch support for plantar fasciitis in the arch of my foot that holds well, but will flare without good support. I also need support. Soft doesn’t work for me. I also have slight numbness in my feet. Various theories on cause, but it’s not painful and not a big issue at this point. It seems to be improving with B12 treatment.

I will wear these sandals out and about, errands, housework, concerts, hiking, etc.

I normally wear Vionic shoes. New Balance running shoe and recently Asics are great. I have high instep and have ordered wide width in some shoes. Can’t use Clark or Sketchers.

I want the style of the Keen Newport Retro Sport Sandal. There are many brands and I am concerned they may be too narrow and no support.

I’m posting a link so you can see the style I’m describing. If that isn’t allowed, I hope a mod will kindly forgive me and remove it from my post.

I wear barefoot shoes almost exclusively now BUT I have worn Keen Newports for years ... they are awesome for hiking.... when I travel, it is in Keens - and I just bring socks for colder weather.
