Has anyone tried Native Path Bone Health product?

Posted by momrulo01 @momrulo01, Apr 6, 2024

I was just diagnosed with osteoporosis and don't want to take the fosamax or envenity recommended. Considering Native Path Bone Health collogen. Does anyone use this?

After 3 months on Fosamax, I decided to stop taking it. Every day, I now take natto (K2 as fermented soy beans) for calcium absorbtion, 6 prunes a day, extra calcium in the form of chia seeds and ground almonds and have just started marine collagen. I would rather be my own guinea pig than a drug company's guinea pig.

Good for you! How has this been working for you?

I have been using it for a year along with healthy diet (very low on caffeine, sugar, salt, and alcohol), daily walking, and weights three times a week. I had a Dexa scan yesterday so I will know in about a week if it is helping or not. I hope it is because I really do not want to take any of the drugs. I will report when I get the results. Fingers crossed.

One year ago I saw an endocrinologist who strongly recommended that I take osteoporosis meds, and he recommended Evenity. I said no, and started on a year’s trial of collagen supplements, diet, and exercise. I use Native Path bone collagen supplement and also the regular collagen. I walk 30 minutes a day as fast as I safely can and I have a ten minute routine with weights every morning. I also cut back on sugar and salt, as well as keeping alcohol to a minimum (Just a glass of wine occasionally.)
I recently had a DEXA scan to compare from a year ago and I received the results today.
Femur has gone from -2.40 to -2.10
Spine has gone from -3.30 to -2.90
My PCP said “keep doing whatever you are doing”

I too have chosen the natural path - because i have reactions to most every drug given. I also showed a 12% improvement. I walk about 3 miles 3-4 times a week, take a different group of supplements and starting workout classes. Trying to diet - wish me luck. Glad you had such a positive experience.

I would really like to try collagen but the price is out of range for my budget. Does anyone know of a reputable collagen that has both type 1 and type 3 (Fortibone and Versiol) like Natures Path that is less expensive? I just can’t afford $63.00 a month with all the other supplements and prescriptions necessary for my osteoporosis. Especially since it’s recommended to use forever once you start. Thanks!!

Hi patjack thanks for the quick response! I checked out Native Path and the one for bone health with collagen peptides type 1 & 3 with Fortibone and Verisol which I have read is important, is $50.00 for 30 servings. The one you see, 45 servings for $30.00 does not have fortibone and verisol type collagen. With that said has anyone had good experience with type 1 and 3 collagen that is not fortibone and verisol? It is always less expensive.
Thanks!

I was shocked to be diagnosed with severe osteoporosis at age 53 four years ago. I did Forteo shots for a year and had some improvement, but like you prefer not to use medication. I searched and found AlgaeCal Plus with Strontium. I take it now under the direction of my healthcare provider, and after 6 months on AlgaeCal my spine improved .4 points (that scan was nearly a year ago, so I hope it’s more improved now). My numbers are still terrible but so much better and continuing to gain! Daily I eat five prunes (you can google for studies on that), take collagen (was Vital Proteins but switching to Native Path because it’s cheaper and all else looks the same), cod liver oil, walk 5.5 miles, and do some resistance training. Do not despair! I was told originally I’d always have osteoporosis and that I was heading towards a wheelchair by age 60. My trajectory is very different now. You can improve and develop stronger bones. Be encouraged!

I use Sparkle Wellness Osteo Boost which has Fortibone but no Verisol. They have other products that do have Verisol, just not combined. Google promo code and you should be able to find one for 20 percent.
