Nickel free robotic TKR

According to my surgeon, the titanium knee implant that is used with MYKO robotic surgery "can not be guaranteed to be nickel free." There is a chance of a small percentage of the device to have some nickel (>0.1%). Due to the reactivity of my nickel allergy, even a small possible percentage of nickel is not worth my risk, especially because quality ceramic implants are available.

You are certainly a success story for someone with nickel allergy and a titanium implant- hooray for you and your continued great results with your TKR.

My search for information on ceramic knee implants that can be done with robotic assisted surgery goes on and on.

Interesting as my surgeon told me it was the chromium that is the problem! Curious where are you located? If another country (I’m in US) that might explain it? Again, it’s almost been 16 years since my surgery so v possible things have changed since then.
