I had eliminated popcorn years ago. It has now been over 1 year since my Colon Resection and I tried eating some a couple times last month.
No issues whatsoever.
It is crazy all the stuff I eliminated through the years.
After the surgery you ask what can I eat now? And I was told by my colon surgeon anything. They were right.
Before the surgery, remember asking my GI Dr. telling me at some point it will not matter what you eliminate anymore the damage is done. And he was right too.

Thank you for sharing that. I am 3 months out and my surgeon told me the same thing but I have been avoiding nuts, popcorn and seeds out of fear. Like you, I have been avoiding them for so long now.
I do still have occasional pain on my left side near the incision that worries me a little. Some days it’s worse than others. Did you or did anyone else have this issue after their resection surgery? I’m just wondering how long does the healing process take. I am definitely better than I was before surgery!
