I didn’t have the halo just mask… the procedure itself was nothing; only thing 6 mos later had some swelling around tumor so needed course of steroids… good to know it still may shrink… mine hasn’t really shrunk… that would be wonderful if it still can happen… glad you’re doing well!

He didn’t let it get bigger than 6mm. The important thing is to keep it from growing. Good luck.

dchrzano: How long did you have to be on the steroids? When I consulted with the neuro-oncologist, he only mentioned possible swelling immediately after the procedure. My 8 mm and 6 mm meningiomas haven't grown in 2 years but I know if they do grow, gamma knife will be on the schedule. And I'm not looking forward to it. Radiation scares me more than the craniotomy I had for a third one. And being on a prolonged course of steroids is one of the things that bothers me.
