I suppose there's a lesson here after reading input from various members and mentors. Pretty similar to the expression beauty is in the eye of the beholder.... pain is in the body of the beholder. Pain thresholds may vary based on different nerve or muscular conditions. No two bodies may feel things the same way. I hope your sister made out okay. What was her assessment?
@mc212se32184 Hello and welcome to Connect. I have had the nerve conduction studies and EMG tests done as a prerequisite to spine surgery. I thought they were fairly painful. At Mayo, they did a longer testing session than had been done at my local hospital. I did ask to take a break in the middle to just relax and breathe while thinking happy thoughts. It is small electric shocks that hurt, and needles put into muscles. If it doesn't hurt, that may mean the nerves are not feeling anything as they should.
