I couldn’t really see myself tied to a pissbag for possibly the rest of my life. Also, from what I read, most men with a radical prostatectomy still have to experience EBRT. My choices had to do with the reality of the tumor, as well as personal lifestyle choices. And a lot of googling and reading studies, seeking opinions of other men afflicted by this condition

Yes, that is the decision that I am grappling with, too. RP side effects can be a big downside. Not guaranteed but dicey. On the other hand, RT can have an early recurrence that puts you on life-long ADT. I believe that salvage RT is tolerable if it is a few years after RP. Moreover, RT has risks in the very long run.
