I don't know if my back complaint is a similar condition to that unfortunately experienced by others, but it certainly is aggravating. My stomach/esophagus junction is completely blocked and although I will hack water back up in fairly short order, sipping ice water is something of a guilty pleasure for me. Not pleasurable, however, is a resulting "dull prodding ache" I experience in my lower back after a few sips. I strain to find a comfortable position as I'm receiving nutrition through a J-tube and the ache gradually subsides over a several minute span. I've just started my chemo/radiation series and I'm wondering if this aggravation will change, hopefully for the better.

This sounds exactly like my husband’s experience. He’s taking oxycodone but they added a fentanyl patch. It makes him loopy! Still looking for a better solution.
