Hi again
My rationale for doing this came from an article I read in Nature. It proposed that tiredness was due to the brain switching your energy from muscles to another body part that needed it more. MCT oil is known to produce ketone bodies rapidly in the liver, which can then be fuel for the brain. There are many papers describing this. My idea was that the teaspoon of MCT oil early in the morning, especially coming off the nightly fast, makes the brain think there is a surge of energy, so it won't need to divert energy from the muscles and you will feel less tired. Does that seem reasonable? It helped me.
Best wishes, Paul
