Yes it is quite common these days but not a lot of dr aware of it because more woman are getting steroid shots now than before .I am77 years old and I get lumbar steroid shots about every 5months . Apparently , the steroid thins out our skin and for some reason it thins out the uterus to causing bleeding .I have had all the tests including a D&C ,cat scan , multiple ultra sounds and just the last time i had a Biopsy and all clear .
So what my gynecologist did was put my on an estrogen vaginal cream every day for two weeks until i have the next shot and then twice a week after the shot hoping to counteract the bleeding . I think that if this doesn’t work i may rethink getting the shot as iam not crazy about taking estrogen all the time . Hope this helps
