Anxiety when waiting for your first calcium score test

I'm new to the group too. I had a calcium score test about 8 years ago and then I had one about 4 years ago one about 2 years ago.
My mom had a stent put in her LAD artery when she was 70 I just turned 65 and I have some plaque in that artery and I am terrified
My cholesterol is completely under control with statins and a low dose my triglycerides are great.
The doctor said if I want peace of mind because I'm always terrified I'm going to have a heart attack he said to get this test done the CAT scan of the arteries to see if there is blockage. I have no symptoms but I just thought it was odd that he said from my peace of mind. And what people are telling me if he's that concerned he would say you need to get it done

The fear and stress from worrying about it constantly can actually release chemicals into your body which are not good for your heart! It would be very important for me to get that skin done… I have already done, so… To know exactly what I’m dealing with. Thinking of you.
