My daughter had a Thyroidectomy, more cancer treatment?

My daughter had a thyroidectomy followed by a I-131 treatment. Then a scan after that. The findings were: There is focal uptake in the midline neck and left
paramedian neck. Physiologic uptake in the oropharynx and GI tract. Nothing for metastatic disease in the chest.
Just wondering if anyone has had this type of findings and what happened after?
She’s 36yrs old and has Nail - Patella syndrome and on dialysis.

@biga282, checking in. What was the recommendation of your daughter's cancer team? Will she require further treatment for thyroid cancer? How is she doing?

Hi, I appreciate your concern!!! She had a thyroidectomy and a radioactive iodine treatment. They’re still concerned about some spots in her neck. She has switched from peritoneal dialysis to hemo. Seems to be doing better on hemo dialysis however she’s still vomiting often. Craziness !!

She had a body scan after the radioactive iodine that showed focal uptake in the center where the thyroid was and on the left side (had a right neck dissection during the thyroidectomy). Endocrinologist made the recommendation for waiting 2 years for a transplant. She was told even at condition right now, having transplant, she would still be at a 98% survival rate. So she's looking at getting a second opinion.
