do you have fatigue , muscle aches and shortness of breath?

Posted by penny27 @penny27, Mar 18 3:56pm

i have fatigue, muscle aches and shortness of breath .. symptoms started one month after i had covid in Jan 2024 .. they a much better now as i was unable to even leave the house in the beginning … i have had multiple relapses ..some as bad as the original occurrence .. i can sometimes trigger a problem just by taking a warm shower ..going for a short walk or just not getting enough sleep ..has anyone figured out a diet / exercise plan that can help this ? My doctor just says to rest if i am tired but it really is not the answer . I used to exercise daily and now am afraid to go to the gym in fear of triggering another relapse .

I tested for COVID ALL the time (drive thru - CVS) :). I just had a COVID & Flu Test last week - negative. I have MAJOR Chills and Ache so badly - just want to stay in bed - but thank you for your reply and well wishes. Best to you and all looking answers and hope & most importantly, to feel better than they've ever felt!

We sound like a mirror image...not that I would wish this on anyone - but more people have to demand issues re: COVID Vaccines. I for one - will not get one again and I had them all - I do believe in "vaccines".

Hi @frustated2025. I may have missed prior posts so hope this is helpful and received in the kind light intended.
My ER doctors, personal healthcare system, and covid pulmonologist I worked for who treated patients worldwide, shared the following current view of many vaccine journeys and actual covid cases-

Each person has different medical body make up affecting body function and multitude of responses which is further impacted by past medical history conditions. Therefore its critical each person seeks their physicians advice and with their own independent research make the best informed vaccine choice for themself or loved one.
For covid testing,
unfortunately timing of it, actual type of testing, etc can create a negative result when actually had covid.
Then add that many people can be without symptoms, have covid, not wearing mask, so further unknown exposures occur.
Covid itself is everchanging thus the vaccines are modified to meet that particular strain, with not everyone having the same strain at the same time, vaccine evolution is necessary.

Thus the above is very complicated and consideration not just for oneself but everyone, such as my eight year old granddaughter going on 4th yr post covid, is crucial as I believe so many here can attest to.
Wishing you the quickest healing journey!🌈

Being treated by cardiologist, pulmonogist, infectious disease Dr, neurologist ( I also have Lyme disease) no one finds anything wrong. Dr s say it’s covid lung, long covid that I got a bad case in LA last June and I never had Covid. I was cked out In Hospital to see if I had blood clot I didn’t 🙏cause I got covid abs on 6 he flight. It’s so frustrating as you know.

I have had long Covid since December 2020 and I'm still suffering. I have gone to physical therapy for Covid and have gained some exercises just to help improve my breathing and knowing the level I can go to before I pushed too fast. I have also started mental therapy and I'm learning how to better understand and how to deal with long Covid . I have found both therapies to be tremendously helpful in understanding, as well as listening to my body. We are to taught to take care of our bodies with nutrition, sleep, exercise and relaxation. However, we were never taught that we need to listen to our bodies as they tell us what's going on within us and how everything is connected to the brain. We need to listen and our body will tell us what's we need to do. These therapies are helping me better understand my limitations, and my how my body tells me what I need. The COVID virus is still within us and if we don't rest and go into. RIM sleep we are not allowing our bodies to heal. Hope you finds acceptance, understanding and feel better. This Long COVID takes who we were and what we could do away from us ... And at any age this is frustrating and just sucks! But this website helps us to support and understand each others frustrations, fear, feelings alone and many not able to truly understand who we are now and that this stuff is real! Blessings

Yes, fatigue, muscle and shortness of breath (among other issues) are constant. Between contracting Covid when the U.S. reported only a few cases and current time, have needed several surgeries making "resting" the byword of doctors and physical therapists. Result is de-conditioning and much life-limiting ability. Connecting to all of you helps deal with the isolation of not personally knowing anyone with Long Covid. Somedays I am able to push myself enough to do an errand or two. Other days, I can barely more. Long Covid depleted energy and ability to function as I did prior to it appearing in our lives. This "Energizer Bunny" no longer functions as in the past.

To all who sent a hug, please know it is heartening and appreciated beyond words. I find those on this site to be welcoming and informed so have learned much about the "Covid community" beyond states' borders. You all have fulfilled my hope of connecting with wonderful people whose lives have been upended and often without resolution. We are together yet apart but ever-present in mind and heart. Caring is sharing.
