How good is Mayo Jacksonville for RARP?
Have you made goid experiences? If so, with which urologist? Do you know how many RARPs they performed and their statistics on ED/incontinence?

I had a RALP there in Sept 2023. Excellent care. Dr. Ram Pathak was my doctor
Thank you, @keywest19. Anyone else been there, given that this is a Mayo forum?
There are others on here. I forgot to mention that I was dry after catheter removal. In fact, I stocked up on pads prior to surgery but ended up donating them to Goodwill. Took me about 8-9 months for erections to return with the help of viagra. I was 59 at the time of surgery with hypertension and type 2 diabetes so that probably slowed my erection recovery. I'm very blessed. I know some have troubles for years after. I attribute my dryness and erectile recovery to prayers and Dr. Pathaks techniques. I believe he's the best.
I am very glad for you. I imagine they were able to do full nerve sparing.
He did. There is a huge difference between Mayo and my local provider in Savannah.
Vood for you. I son’t be so lucky but still hoping on partial nerve-sparing in one and full on the other side.
Playing for a successful treatment for you. Hope everything goes well with which ever treatment you choose and the cancer is eradicated.
Also, if you haven't yet, check out the PCRI videos on YouTube. Dr. Mark Scholz is a 30 year medical oncologist that specializes in prostate cancer. He favors radiation but discusses all treatments
Thanks 🙏
Yes, I have binge-watched their videos. Big reason why I was initially more inclined towards radiation.
