My Fellow Reclastonites,

Don't forget to have your doctor prescribe a "slow infusion" for Reclast and that the tech/nurse who administers it adheres to that request. Prior to my last infusion, I remembered my doc telling me that it should take 45 minutes to an hour for the infusion . . . when I asked my nurse, she said, "Oh, only about 15 minutes." Had I not asked and verified . . . just sayin'!

It is my understanding that the longer infusion time causes fewer side effects.

Wishing everyone sunny skies and strong bones! Cheers!

My infusion nurse said it would take 30 mins. My Dr said she was putting in for 45 minutes. I told the nurse and because 'they weren't busy', she would do the 45 minutes, but she 'had never heard of it, and it wouldn't make a difference '. So, speak up!
