@mccampbell, I'm tagging a few members like @yrarbil @birdman518 @choctawgirl61 and @grammato3 who have experience with treatment for metastatic melanoma.

Tebentafusp (Kimmtrak) is a new class of immunotherapy that works by bridging together tumor and T cells, to help the body’s immune system to locate and kill the melanoma cells.

@mccampbell, I see you are very worried for your special earth angel - your mom. She is lucky to have you. Has she asked her oncologist about clinical trials that she might be eligible for? Does she have a palliative care team to help manage her pain and keep her comfortable?

Very sadly, Mitchell passed away on Oct. 9, 2024, from a very rare form of metastasized melanoma.

The first symptom that anything was wrong was on Aug. 18th, by which time he had six tumors in his brain and cancer in his liver. It was too late.

Mitchell had completely clear CT scans in May 2024 at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL, so this was a shock.

I do not have words for how much I loved him and miss him.
