Bone specific ALP rises in serum reflecting bone formation and mineralization. Your panel measuring ALP includes both the bone and the liver enzyme. together. If you weren't taking Tymlos your physician might look for liver disease.
In your case the elevation is anticipated and is a good measure of the medication's effectiveness.
Most of us gain belly fat on Tymlos, but some lose weight.

Thank you for your reply. That's encouraging. The main issue has been weight loss and, it seems, muscle loss. My back hurts which seems to cause nausea at times. The newly diagnosed scoliosis has dramatically worsened in the last year as well.
