Hi Irene
Try to stay positive. I'll keep you and your husband in my prayers.

Hi Irene,
Anytime we hear cancer it flips the freak out switch in our brains.
If your dr couldn’t tell, that makes me think that the cells must look similar to healthy cells. From what I’ve read so far (not a lot but good sources) that could put him in the low grade range. The more the cells change from their original form the higher the grade. So if they are cancerous, it may be the less concerning form.
Were there other words they used to describe it? Did you get a report or after visit summary?
If you meditate or do yoga, now would be a good time to start using some of the relaxation techniques for yourself & your husband. The waiting is horrible. You could pick a good comedy to help pass the time. I was surprised at how much I liked Shrinking on Apple, Schitts Creek on Netflix, Ted Lasso was also surprisingly good. I loved The Night Manager - a sort of Bond style limited series on Prime.
Write everything down including your questions so you have your info together -> mitigate stress.
Best, Heather

@ijw1950 Hi Irene…my husband is being treated at Yale New Haven …through the Smilow Center. I’m praying that your husband gets the all-clear. My husband is almost done with his treatments and he’ll be getting a radical cystectomy on May 29th. It’s gone very well so far. No side effects with Gemcitabine/Cisplatin. His was in the muscle wall but did not metastasize, thank God. Prayer is very powerful for me…and takes away the anxiety I felt in the beginning of this journey. God bless, Rose
