The latest consensus opinion on thoracic aortic aneurysms lowered the bar for surgery to 5 cm. In the past it was 5.5 cm.
You need an uptodate cardiologist. This one is out of date.
Can you get to an academic center that has expertise in this condition?

Thank you for the update. I live in Oklahoma. There is cardiologist here not professional.

Hello, where have you seen this newer consensus for surgery at 5.0cm? I have one Dr. telling me he would not recommend surgery until 5.5cm and another Dr. telling me it’s go time. I am at 5.0cm and my AAA grew 0.4cm the past year. The second Dr. has said the consensus is more nuanced today and he did refer to a study he was a part of that was published in October last year. Thanks
