I am sorry for the lengthy delay. Things have been hectic. My mom is still really struggling. She is on caplyta now and then is still taking trazedone and valium at night before she goes to sleep. She is really struggling to sleep and wakes up after 2-3 hours and can't go back to sleep. She is very agitated and keeps catatastrophizing (going down a rabbit hole about what would happen if my Dad died). She also is struggling with blurry vision and is convinced she will be blind by next week. We really feel that she needs inpatient care at this point but definitely want to avoid the options in Buffalo. My biggest concern is she is going to go to inpatient and then they will release her because she is not "sick enough". I hope my Dad will take her to McClean but he seems to be dragging his feet and I don't understand why. I just want my mom to have a chance to get better 😞

@leleo81682 this is exactly the same as my mom, 82. Symptoms from nowhere and now in bed most of the day exhausted. Tremors started in hands and noe all over. Memory loss is odd - forgets but then remembers but then often a complete blank. Strange behaviours for her. Gets irritated by everything. No patience. Foggy vision. Sometimes it lifts for a few hours. I notice this happens after spending a few hours pampering her with nice shower, washing her hair, giving her a relaxing massage and playing a meditation for relaxation/sleep. She said it felt like everything had lifted, she felt light and could see clearly. I think her system is in total overload from the constant high anxiety, and she is like a coiled spring winding tighter.
