I was recently swabbed and I came back positive for chlamydia, was prescribed doxycycline, and am experiencing the exact same thing. A constant urge to urinate, but when I go to the bathroom there’s barely anything—even though I’ll almost wet my pants just trying to get to the bathroom on time. No other UTI symptoms other than the super uncomfortable urge to pee and feeling like I still have a full bladder when I’m finished. I don’t get frequent UTIs, and this wasn’t a problem before I started taking the doxycycline. I’ve had some alarming experiences where I’ve gone into urgent care and they just signed me out with a UTI and antibiotics to handle it. I’m 19, and I just feel so embarrassed because I have no one to talk about this with and the doctors I have are not helpful at all. I’m gonna call Planned Parenthood to get some other advice hopefully. But I just feel like there’s something else going on and in the meantime I just feel disgusted with myself and uncomfortable all the time.
