Tymlos follow-up: Anyone have good results with Fosomax?
My doctor wants me to be on Reclast for 3-5 years when I complete Tymlos in about one year. I asked to be on Fosomax instead, and he said that it does not work as well as Reclast. Has anyone had good results with Fosomax following Tymlos?

I have been on Fosomax for 5 years and not great results. My spine did get better but not my hips. I was referred to an endocrinologist and she asked me why I was on Fosomax and not something better. I told her because that’s what my doctor put me on. I get a Dexa scan this coming November so we’ll find out.
Thanks so much. How long were you on Tymlos before that?
I’ve never been on anything else
My doctor has eluded to Reclast for me once I complete Tymlos, too. But I believe I asked to go in that direction when I was pitching him on putting me on Tymlos. I have a good bit of silent reflux and I learned I have a small hiatal hernia when I had an ER visit that included a scan last year.
In short, I need to baby my esophagus going forward, so I would not be a candidate for Fosamax. But OP, you and I have met on a different thread and I think we both shared that we are going to be researching and working to form opinions on what's right/best for us after Tymlos! :-))
