The most recent drug for constipation is IBSRela. I have severe motility so absolutely nothing works for me but when a new drug hits the market my Gastro reaches out.
My regimen is pretty severe and my doctor in Atlanta wants me to go to Mayo.
The problem is everyone on here says you can’t get an appointment for years. I want to see if they can figure me out before I decide on a total colectomy. I’ve been dealing with this for 5 years and I’ve been very lucky but my regimen won’t last forever as it’s extensive now to be able to go twice a week.

I got in within a month. I filled out the form on line and all they care about is your insurance….. yes, I got into a urogynocologist and gastrointestinal doc. I flew to MSP and caught Groome Transportation to Centerstone Plaza (best busses to and from clinics and ask for the mayo rate.). This is your easiest route. DO NOT WAIT FOR YOUR DOC TO DO A REFERRAL. I made that mistake. they take all insurance other than Medicare advantage. DO IT! I will not go anywhere else now. I’m set for the Medtronic tiny interstim device in Sept. I could have done it in July. I have been to Mayo for osteoarthritis and hand surgeries, triple hernia repair in March this year, feet issues solved. Knee issue solved with persistence and a shot in the bursa sac of my knee. Colonoscopy that ended in the surgery room. The hospital was heavenly and I never ever see an employee unhappy…….. GO GO GO! Twigs restaurant attached to Centerstone is awesome. One now friend I met there stayed at Centerstone for 7 months for cancer treatments. The you cannot get an appt for years is baloney. Go to Rochester. Phoenix is harder to get into and Rochester has the most doctors. 1000…………….

You should be able to get an appointment with a proper referral. Have you called Mayo? They can give you guidelines for getting in sooner.
