Trouble getting asthma under full control

Predisone I just cannot take and I know it would stop my nagging cough + long existing itchy throat which is more allergy than infection
And I am on a pediatric version
Cannot take 2 meds per day either
DeSymon ( spelling) - one for dry cough only what I take - there are 3 kinds
Most cough medicines have too much in them that cause other issues - built up phelm or drip or more dryness
Pharmacist appears to know thus

Hi, @scy, and welcome to Connect. I noticed you said you just cannot take prednisone though you know it would stop your nagging cough. Before I was on a biologic, when I would travel, especially, I would often go into an asthmatic flare with a lot of coughing, which is my main asthma symptom. The only thing that would calm things down is taking a 5-day course of prednisone.
Why is it that you cannot take prednisone? Have you had trouble with this medication or tapering after finishing a course of it?
