Hi, if the dexa scans were done on different machines that may alter the results, as each scanner can be calibrated differently.
Also, if the technician does not position you correctly, it can skew the results.
Just my opinion, but because of these anomalies in the scans, I don’t believe dexa is the best predictor of fracture.
On another note, the first “abnormal” dexa shouldn’t necessarily mean treatment with osteoporosis meds, especially Prolia, which is very difficult to stop, if the med is not stopped properly with a relay drug, you run the risk of rebound fractures, ask me how I know!?!
