I had surgery for labial adhesion the first of January. I had become so occluded that I could barely pass urine. I can pee now but the area feels like I have a hundred paper cuts. The nurse said to use olive oil or coconut oil. I did the olive oil first and applied it using my fingers. That did not seem to work and I wondered if the actual touching was part of the problem. I realize that using only once was not a good indication of if it would help or not. I went to the coconut oil and it was in a solid form and I would put it on a pad and it seemed to help. My question to you is, when applying the olive oil did you use your fingers or put it on a pad?? Looking forward to your response. I don't see the surgeon until the end of May. Thanks.

@fdixon63 I’ve not had any experience with LS so I can’t really answer your question. But, from a nurse’s point of view, if you use your fingers to apply the oil to yourself or a pad, cleanliness is very important. Make sure you wash your hands well before and after! If using olive oil, have a bottle for your use only. Don’t use bottle for kitchen and yourself! You want the labia to heal, not get infected! If the urine burns the labia, there are OTC medicines that numb the area, making it easier to pee.
Overall, are you happy with the surgery?
