I have a 4.8 aneurysm at the sinus of Valsalva and 4.1 Ascending dilation. I found mine after getting a thorough physical after my brother died suddenly from an unexpected and unexplained heart issue. I've been to both Mayo and Cleveland Clinic because the sinus of Valsalva aneurysm is very rare. Both are excellent- and both are saying that I should get a repair if mine reaches 5.0. My advice is to take whatever steps are needed to get/keep blood pressure to good levels asap. Get a genetic test, And get rechecked for any growth in 9 to 12 months. Best of luck. We are very fortunate to know we have these conditions and to have excellent care options!!!

Which hospital will you choose to perform the surgery? I have a 4.7 aneurysm at the sinus of Valsalva and 4.2 Ascending dilation. I am currently seeing doctors @ Northwestern, and I would like a second opinion. I am in good shape, but I also have CAD (genetic).
